Approximately 150 Oklahoma auctioneering families & companies, from across the state, gathered in OKC on February 6th and 7th for the Oklahoma State Auctioneers Association Annual Winter Convention & Trade Show. The groups competed in bid calling & ring work, auction advertising & design and attended seminars on structuring your chant, communication, auction marketing, safety for the auction professional and industry trends.
Jeff Crissup, of Helena, (Wiggins Auctioneers, LLC) was named Reserve Champion in the bid calling contest. Tyler Ambrose, of Yukon, was named Champion Auctioneer and Joe Hendron, of Tulsa, was first runner-up. In the auction advertising competition, Wiggins Auctioneers received the "Best of Show" for Social Media Page, Television/Radio Advertisement & Newspaper Advertisement. Another highlight of the convention was the induction of auctioneer Bob Goss, of Carmen, into the Oklahoma State Auctioneers Hall of Fame.
